Hi!
A lot of people have complained on this list and elsewhere that while
compiling php 4.0 they get errors of the following kind:
microtime.c: In function 'php_if_get_rusage' ....
microtime.c: 97: 'RUSAGE_SELF' undefined...
make[3] *** [microtime.lo] Error 1
make[2] *** [all-recursive] Error 1
make[1] *** [all-recursive] Error 1
make: *** [all-recursive] Error 1
I have found a fix (which suggested itself from a test on the php FAQ). I am
not sure whether it is the best solution but it works for me.
What I did is go to file: /usr/include/bits/resource.h and change line 25 to:
#define RLIM_INFINITY (~OUL)
This incidentally is the line in /usr/include/asm/resource.h
I am not a programmer, so this advice is to be taken with a pinch of salt and
at your own risk. It worked for me.
