and i want to install php 3.0.16
The database Postgresql 6.5.3-23 is installed on my system and works
fine !
The version of apache is 1.3.9-13.1
I have try to understand the documentation ... and to follow the
different steps !!
=> I 've installed the following pakages
postgresql 6.5.3-23

=> I have the following configuration files
for apache : (/etc/apache)
in httpd.conf :
.........
LoadModule pgsql_auth_module /usr/lib/apache/1.3/mod_auth_pgsql.so
# LoadModule eaccess_module /usr/lib/apache/1.3/mod_eaccess.so
LoadModule php3_module /usr/lib/apache/1.3/libphp3.so
# LoadModule roaming_module /usr/lib/apache/1.3/mod_roaming.so
..........
in srm.conf :
..............
# For example, the PHP3 module (a separate Debian package)
# will typically use:
AddType application/x-httpd-php3 .phtml .php3
AddType application/x-httpd-php3-source .phps
When i test some simple php scripts -> it's OK
but when i try to connect my database i have the following message (i
think well known) :
Fatal error: Call to unsupported or undefined function pg_connect() in
/var/www/podlyski/php/friends_1.php3 on line 6
=> question:
Is it mandatory to re-compile php3 with the options --with-pgsql ?
If no, what i s false in my installation ?
If i upgrade the version (PHP4 postgresql 7.0.2) do i need to re-compile
too ?
Thank you very much for your help !!
