Hi there
I'm trying to move up from php3 to php4 but can't at the moment risk upgrading
my mysql.
With php3:
./configure --with-mysql=/usr
generates
MYSQL_LFLAGS=-L/usr/lib/mysql
which then does a static link of /usr/lib/mysql/libmysqlclient.a, as I
require.
With php4:
./configure --with-mysql=/usr
does not generate the LFLAGS and in consequence attempts a disasterous link
against libmysqlclient.so.
I suspect that the solution lies in the generation of libtool but I can't
follow how on earth this beast gets made and used.
How can I hack configure to achieve this result? Preferably I need something
that I can make a patch from to include in an rpm spec.
TIA
