php and Oracle 8

Hello all, I compiled php with the following configure statement. ./configure --with-mysql --with-apxs=/usr/local/apache/bin/apxs --enable-track-vars --with-gd=/usr/local --with-t1lib --with-ttf --with-cpdflib=/usr/lib --with-oci8=/home/httpd/oracle/product every path is correct and It compiles and installs "ok" but I go and start apachectl start. It says it started and I do a ps -auxw | grep httpd and nothing is there. Please oh pleae what am I doing wrong! Thanks Brian
