Hi again:
I've downloaded and "freshened" the mysql rpms, and the .pid error has gone away.
But the other error in the log still pop up (maybe another bug?)
001019 14:50:44 /usr/libexec/mysqld: Can't find file: './mysql/host.frm' (errno
: 13)
001019 14:50:44 mysqld restarted
now, mysqld doesn't die, but restarts itself, and after some minutes I get a 2Mb log file !.
I've already run mysql_install_db, so host.frm exists. Perhaps, the problem is that in
my machine host.frm is in /var/lib/mysql/mysql directory, so looking for ./mysql/host.frm fails.
Were are those paths for mysql configured, so I can change the file and make mysql work
at last?
Thanks for your help.
