Help with Apache 1.3.12 and PHP 4.03pl1

The "make" and "make install" went without a hitch, but "apachectl configtest" gives the following error: Syntax error on line 226 of /usr/local/apache-ssl/conf/httpd.conf: Cannot load /usr/local/apache-ssl/libexec/libphp4.so into server: dlopen: cannot load /usr/local/apache-ssl/libexec/libphp4.so The files exists (although it seems a little large!) -rwxr-xr-x 1 root system 7790592 Oct 20 14:52 /usr/local/apache-ssl/libexec/libphp4.so And the entries in httpd.conf look good to me. Anyone have any suggestions? I've checked Deja.com and the list archives, and found _similar_ problems, but most have some sort of unresolved symbol error. I don't get any errors like that, just the "dlopen: cannot load" System is Digital Unix 4.0d, Apache 1.3.12 with the latest version of PHP I could find (4.03pl1). I ran config with --with-msql and --with-sybase, and not much more.
