I built it with: ./configure --with-apxs=/usr/local/apache-ssl/bin/apxs\ --with-msql=/usr/local/Minerva\ --with-sybase=/usr/local/freetds\ --with-config-file-path=/usr/local/php make make install > Did apache restart after installing php? If not, try this: Nope, it didn't. I looked at the suggestion about the ld.so.conf and ldconfig, but these don't appear to apply to Digital Unix. I did run accross a message in the archive about setting the _RLD_ARGS environment variable (to "-interact" specifically). 'apachectl configtest' then warns it can't find libsybdb.so and asks for the path (I guess my LD_LIBRARY_PATH isn't set right). When I specify the path I then get the error: Cannot load /usr/local/apache-ssl/libexec/libphp4.so into server: Unresolved symbol in /usr/local/apache-ssl/libexec/libphp4.so: DBSETLCHARSET A step further at least. Thanks to those that replied. I'll post a solution (if I find one) in case anyone else is having similar problems. - Darryl ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Darryl Friesen, B.Sc., Programmer/Analyst Darryl.Friesen@usask.ca Education & Research Technology Services, http://gollum.usask.ca/ Department of Computing Services, University of Saskatchewan ---------------------------------------------------------------------- "Go not to the Elves for counsel, for they will say both no and yes"
