Hi everybody,
Until recently PHP 4.1.0 and MySQL were working fine on my PC with W2K.
I've tried to install myodbc-2.50.39-nt as well. Then they stopped to work
together, but they continue to work separately. MySQL is accessible from the
terminal window and PHP replies when there is no connections to the
database.
The ODBC happened not to have uninstall utility. So I tried to remove it
manualy. Now when I try to execute
$link = mysql_connect ("localhost", "", "")
or die ("Could not connect");
it either hangs, either returns
warning: Can't connect to MySQL server on 'localhost' (10061) in...
What does 10061 mean in this case? How shall I get out from this situation?
Thank you in advance.
Strashimir
