All you really need is Apache, PHP, and MySQL (If you want databases). A
great article for the installation of all three of these can be found at
http://www.devshed.com/Server_Side/PHP/SoothinglySeamless/.
The tutorial is
excellent and it includes SSL install. I am very new to linux and I was
able to get it working with no trouble.

Subject: [PHP-INST] question
I recently purchased a PHP book which included a cd in it. It includes
top directories like apache, boaz, examples, php, sklar, and xitami on the
cd. I am trying to figure out what else do I need to set up so I can run
the
programs in the book. Do you need to be online to do these and how do you do
it. Any feedback would be appreciated.
Sincerely,
Brian Kolovich
