Why would you have to build it 3 times? What are you reading? If you
want to build PHP 4 as a DSO (ie. a shared module you can load into
Apache) you need to use --with-apxs and if you want to run both PHP 3 and
PHP 4 concurrently as modules you need to add --enable-versioning not only
to *both* PHP 3 and PHP 4 when you build it.
ie. You have to rebuild your PHP 3 setup using --with-apxs
--enable-versioning and also your PHP 4 using those two flags. Go back
into both your tress and do a "make clean" and then re-configure them.
