Hello. I'm trying to compile php 4.0.2 or 4.0.3pl1 with apache 1.3.14 , mysql 3.22.32 and interbase6. as root I use : ./configure --with-apxs=/usr/Projets/Apache_1_3_14/bin/apxs \ --with-mysql=/usr/Projets/mysql \ --with-interbase=/usr/Projets/interbase the scripts works fine.. but I always get an error compiling : /usr/i386-slackware-linux/bin/ld: cannot open -lgds: No such file or directory So I tried to run the script without gd (--without-gd) , then I didn't have the -lgds option in the compile argument line; but I still had the same error message .. Finally after removing the file config.cache ; I ran again the script 'configure' : ./configure --with-apxs=/usr/Projets/Apache_1_3_14/bin/apxs and then I got a warning saying : |You chose to compile PHP with the built-in MySQL support. If you | | are compiling a server module, and intend to use other server | | modules that also use MySQL (e.g, mod_auth_mysql, PHP 3.0, | | mod_perl) you must NOT rely on PHP's built-in MySQL support, and | | instead build it with your local MySQL support files, by adding | | --with-mysql=/path/to/mysql to your configure line. | but I tried to do a 'make' after that and I got an error message: /usr/i386-slackware-linux/bin/ld: cannot open -lmysqlclient: No such file or directory Well, looks like something strange is going to make me crazy !! Anybody could help please ?? Fred.
