I finally got my php make/compile to run to completion, but the make install fails almost immediately, reporting that libs/libphp4.so is missing (which I presume should have been built)....see attachment for the failure output.
a listing of the php/libs dir only shows up:
libphp4.a and libphp4.la
Would some kind and wiser soul please tell me either what has gone wrong or what I should be looking at to figure out where the compile messed up (if it did)?
FWIW, the compile was done on an AIX V5.1 machine, using the IBM C compiler and referencing the IBM version of Apache (V1.3.19) and IBM's LDAP. The configure invocation was:
./configure --with-apxs=/usr/HTTPServer/bin/apxs --with-ldap=/usr/ldap
