Hello, just found it out myself: Apparently you need to compile postgres with "--enable-multibyte" to make it work with php 4.2.2. This was not necessary with php 4.0.6 - don´t know about the versions in between. Thanks for listening :-) Patrick Patrick Meisel wrote:
