I'm attempting to get PHP 4.0.3pl1 compiled with libmcrypt and am having
all sorts of problems...
Running on a shared server using Apache 1.3.3 on FreeBSD 2.2.7.
I've managed to get PHP to successfully configure and compile with
libmcrypt 2.2.7, but when I actually attempt to use mcrypt_encrypt it
coredumps.
All attempts (and there have been more than a few) to get it to compile
with any of the 2.4.x series fail, either in the ./configure or in the
compilation.
The configure errors always tell me it can't find the libmcrypt shared
libraries even though the -L/path/ points correctly to the library it says
it cannot locate.
The compiler errors all center around previously undefined functions in
mcrypt.c
A snippet looks like:
"mcrypt.c:291: `MCRYPT_RC4' undeclared (first use this function)
mcrypt.c: In function `php_if_mcrypt_get_cipher_name':
mcrypt.c:1500: warning: assignment makes pointer from integer without a
cast
*** Error code 1
Stop."
It's several screenfuls of similar looking stuff.
libmcrypt was configured with:
./configure --prefix=/usr/home/USERNAME/src/libmcryptfiles \
--disable-posix-threads
php was configured with
./configure --without-gd --enable-force-cgi-redirect \
--with-mysql=/usr/local --with-mhash=/usr/home/USERNAME/src/mhashfiles \
--with-mcrypt=/usr/home/USERNAME/src/libmcryptfiles
php is being run as a CGI using the suexec wrapperl
Any help would be most appreciated. I've despaired of ever getting this
to work...
