Compiling php w/imap

Hello,
I followed the instructions on your FAQ page regarding compiling php
w/imap support.
I ran (in my php distribution dir):
./configure --with-imap=/usr/ports/distfiles/tmp3/imap-4.7c
and it went through fine.
Then I ran:
make
and the error received was:
/usr/libexec/elf/ld: cannot find -lc-client4
*** Error code 1
Can anyone please help me? I've been working on horde/imp for days now
and checked all the FAQ and help pages I could find.
