Hi:
had a hard evening today because of OCI8 support. In advance, thanks for reading this:
ok, I have a RH6.2 box with Oracle 8.1.6 up and running.
Downloaded apache-1.3.12, php-4.0.3pl1... good!
Now I compile apache and php4 as a loadable module with oci8 support.
When I start apache I get a silent crash, properly documented (this is what I love best): I must
compile apache with -lpthread because of PHP & Oracle being compiled that way
I do so, and after re-making everything I get this:
$./apachectl start
Syntax error on line 208 of
/usr/local/apache/conf/httpd.conf: API module
structure 'php4_module' in file
/usr/local/apache/libexec/libphp4.so is garbled -
perhaps this is not Apache module DSO?
However, if I compile PHP4 without "--with-oci8", apache + PHP4 module start fine.
I KNOW this issue has come out before in PHP-INST (searching in mail archives from phpbuilder.com),
but I couldn't find a satisfactory explanation.
Please, could somebody help?
Thanks in advance!.
