I've managed to install PHP 4 on my Linux Box O.K!
My distro is Slackware 7.0 (with Apache 1.3.9) and PHP compiled as a module
without complaint. I had to fiddle arround with the AddType lines in
hppd.conf to get it to work. I don't really understand this AddType business
and kept getting an invitation to Save my file! The docs aren't too clear on
this subject - not for me anyway. I was pretty much driving in the dark - I
guess I was lucky!
