PHP4 + Apache 1.3.14 + mysql 3.22.32 on HPUX 11.00

Getting the following error while compiling PHP4 with mysql support: configure: error: Cannot find header files under /usr/local/include/mysql Here are the options I am passing to the configure script: ./configure --with-mysql=/usr/local/include/mysql --with-apxs=/opt/apache/bin/apxs The mysql path above points to the mysql header directory which is what php is looking for... right? Not sure if my non standard installation of mysql is causing the problem but here's what it looks like. /usr/local/include/mysql = header files /usr/local/var/ = databases /usr/local/libexec = mysqld /usr/local/lib/mysql = libraries /usr/local/bin = binaries Any clues?
