It's my fault, my e-mails went to the spam folder for many people. I'm
sending my e-mails from a different address now which seems to have
resolved the problem.

It's to maintain backwards compatibility (chapter "Operator
precedence"). To make sure the examples in this chapter continue
working the precedence needs to be very low.

Yes, I need to update the tests with all the examples in the RFC. I
just haven't done that yet.
