Hi!
language syntax, whereas the "use" construct after the argument list is inconsistent with the ordinary function definition unless my proposalBecause it is _not_ an ordinary function definition. It's like saying '+' is "inconsistent" with '-' because $a+$b=$b+$a but $a-$b!=$b-$a. I don't have any attachment to any particular syntax in this case, but I am strongly opposed to taking decision on the syntax based on the look of the constructs alone, ignoring underlying semantic differences and all the problems that it would lead to. P.S. btw, in your proposal functions would be "inconsistent" with methods. -- Stanislav Malyshev, Zend Software Architect stas@zend.com http://www.zend.com/ (408)253-8829 MSN: stas@zend.com
