I encourage people to reconsider widespread use of URI shortening
services. They lose any clues readers may want as to what the resource
is and reduce the value of mailing list archives when the alias gets
deleted.
I hope this posting will just serve as food for thought rather than bait
for trolling a whole thread that wastes everyone's time.
