To extend support for 5.6 you actually now need an RFC. Without the RFC any decision made by anybody in that regard is invalid and irrelevant.
I already said yesterday that I'm going to work on an RFC, and I'm almost done creating an initial draft for discussion. Zeev Look forward reading it. Would it be a good idea to list different incentives
for upgrading to PHP 7 and how important they are? Personally I'm not sure that having prolonged 5.6 support is a big hindrance for PHP 7 upgrading. Regards //Björn
