You don't need Karma to play with it. Simply check it out and set up a test system first. Then try tweaking things and test your change with every possible browser and make sure your change works. Then send any suggested (and thoroughly tested) patches to the list. You will find that a lot of stuff is the way it is for a reason. -RasmusThanks for suggestion, but I understand problems with confirming standards and no need to play with to know it. I don't want to spend my time for nothing, too. Even if I send patch that perfectly confirm HTML 4.01 standard, it won't commited. At least, it seems it's less likely as I expected at first. :) I'm simply suggesting Use DTD if and only if output confirms standard. Otherwise, do not write DTD My original suggestion is that makes all pages confirm HTML 4.01 since pages have the DTD even if it will look different browser to browser, though. Anyway, I was very suprised by the fact that there are many PHP applications that do not pay any attention to HTML standards, yet they have DTD. IMHO, www.php.net shouldn't be one of them. This is not too important for me, so please take it as a suggestion. -- Yasuo Ohgaki

IMHO.As I wrote, rewrite the HTML, if you have the time.
