FYI I have added a shortcut http://php.net/globals to redirect
users to
this page with problems concerning register_globals. It's actually the
page of the predefined vars, where the predefined globals issue is dealt
with in a big warning at the top of the page, so it seems appropriate to
me to direct users to that page.
