As far as I know, the latest PHP (4.3.0pre2) and the latest Apache can work together nicely.

Subject: PHP / Apache 2
Hi
I've been looking around www.php.net trying to find the answer to a
very simple question but can't seem to. (it might just be one of those
friday days :) Does PHP4.3.0pre2 work with Apache 2.0.43? Our internal
server uses Apache 2 and would be nice if PHP4 could be installed on it
really. I do remember that 4.2.0 (or slightly earlier) wasn't able to be
used with Apache 2. PHP may have fixed that, or Apache.
Thanks
