in the manual for php there is a wrong example. Here is the text ============================================================================ ==================================== User Contributed Notes mssql_fetch_array </manual/add-note.php?sect=function.mssql-fetch-array&redirect=http://php.be nscom.com/manual/de/function.mssql-fetch-array.php> <<...OLE_Obj...>> </manual/add-note.php?sect=function.mssql-fetch-array&redirect=http://php.be nscom.com/manual/de/function.mssql-fetch-array.php> </manual/about-notes.php> <<...OLE_Obj...>> </manual/about-notes.php> Yagi <alisson at sistemasabertos dot com dot br> 11-Jan-2002 08:05 Here´s an example of associative array: <?php connect("sqlserver","user","password"); $query = mysql_query("SELECT * FROM TABLE"); for ($i = 0;$line = mysql_fetch_array($query);++$i) { echo "Name: ".$line["name"]; echo "Address: ".$line["address"]; ... } mysql_close(); ?> p.s.: the column name must be specified in '$line["colname"]'. ============================================================================ ================= The text describes the mssql_fetch_array command but the example uses mysql_fetch_array. This is not the beginning of the third world war but anyway it is a little mistake. cu HJW
