There was a site (I think it was www.urchin.com) that had a different
logo each day. Useless, of course, but kinda fun.
I suggest we do that if we get multiple entries: just have one on one
day, one the next, etc..
I volunteer to judge the entries, and I will also build a file-upload
page where people can send submissions (if file uploads are available on
www.php.net).
Here is the suggested text for the news item, and a page with more details.

HAVE FUN WITH THE PHP LOGO
You may have noticed the snow-covered logo on PHP.NET over the holidays
this year. We'd like to continue this trend, and are calling on all the
budding designers out there to make us some more logo candy.
Starting on February 1, 2003, PHP.NET will display a different logo on
the home page. These will be chosen by our discerning panel of judges
from all your entries. Interested? Clike {here} for more info.
