OK, so phpweb/include/posttohost.inc needs to be updated to support
file uploads. Then we can add the entry form and news item on all
mirrors, as the upload will go through php.net (the forms action=""
will point to php.net). The form processor script will receive the
data and using posttohost.inc will upload it to master.php.net, where
another script will receive it and save somewhere. So then we need a
script on master.php.net to view the submitted graphics, and vote on
it. This probably also needs a simple db table for simplicity ;)
BTW some more notes on this: it's probably not a good idea to provide
a specific date for the start of special logo usage, as you did (feb. 1).
And it would also be a good idea IMHO to add a simple sentence, that we
are also open to new "powered by" logos and operating system icons
(for which the size and some other requirements do not apply). It would
be nice to get some fresh graphics in the same time as we get nice logos
;) There are also some powered by images used on sites, which would be
nice to be provided for download at php.net and mirror sites IMHO.
