I only suggested it :-) Anyway, we should make a policy on this. Any ideas for it?
Anyway, I don't like it this way it is currently on php.net/links.php.
It would be much better to have a link directory hosted off php.net, like we link to freshmeat projects page. I have considered dmoz to suggest, but does not contain the best links but some crap, so I don't know how to go on.
Why I don't like the current links page?
I think there are too many links to handle for a visitor.
And I think it gets bigger and bigger for the webmasters to maintain.
I have also noted some links Damien added to the French section, and expressed my feelings, that only the most important sites should be listed ("hubs" pointing to other sites). Much like php.lap.hu for example (which you can understand even if you don't know Hungarian).
So I think links.php gets to be something like hosts.php.net was...
It would be nice to have a better dinamic version, but I don't think anybody will volunteer to maintain it...
