Why I don't like the current links page? I think there are too many links to handle for a visitor. I believe it is still decent and reliable, in comparison with DMOZ or google's.
And I think it gets bigger and bigger for the webmasters to maintain. bigger and harder to maintain, with 'hey! you accepted this site and not mine!!'
I have also noted some links Damien added to the French section, and expressed my feelings, that only the most important sites should be listed ("hubs" pointing to other sites). Much like php.lap.hu for example (which you can understand even if you don't know Hungarian). The current list in FR holds the most interesting links, except for two of them which could be
discussed. Beyond that, 'most important' would be nice if defined...
So I think links.php gets to be something like hosts.php.net was... It would be nice to have a better dinamic version, but I don't think anybody will volunteer to maintain it... Do it would be easy to find, but maintain it and sorting the submission is really
the challenge. We could have a voting process of some kind.
