Hi!
We have the new update of the db. This covers some ranges in the RIPE db that we had not taken into account. (Thanks to shimi for reporting his IP to us, without which we wouldn't be able to track this bug) We havent changed the last updated date in the script at directi.com yet. This is because this is the first time your cron would be picking up the db directly and processing it. Also, we have applied the patch whereby the first and last line of the db are as below: #Directi IP-to-Country Db: Start #Directi IP-to-Country Db: EndAs I checked locally our code should handle this.
I have put up the latest db with the abv patch at a temporary URL: http://qmail-a.directi.com/mytest.php?site=php.net&dbformat=1 I will update the script at directi.com as soon as you confirm to me that everything looks fine.Well, as nothing else changed in the format except the above change, I think you can put this online. I don't have a local mirror of phpweb, so I cannot test the db in the right environment. I don't think there will be any problem with this. If the DB is not detected to be in the right format, James will get notification emails about it. Goba
