Hi!
I am writing to you because you are now redirecting searches onto the closest mirror to the client's location. I live in poland and the closest mirror is of course pl.php.net However, this mirror never works correctly, and when it does, it's really slooooow. At this moment, and at least since 36h, pl.php.net is simply down.We are actually unable to measure the speed of mirror sites. We check if the mirror site can be connected, and disable it's listing if it is not available for some time. We are very sorry for the problems, and are going to add a 'favorite mirror' setting to the my php.net feature set in the coming days. Until then you are free to use any of the mirror sites of course. None of the mirror sites redirect you to your country's mirror, except [www.]php.net. So use any other mirror, and you won't get redirected. Please note that the redirection occurs because the php.net server is overloaded and it would not be able to handle your request anyway. So pick another mirror for your daily work please for now. Regards, Goba
