Well, the question is if there is any limit currently in browsers for number of cookies / sites? We already have a few (MYPHPNET, LAST_LANG, COUNTRY and MAGIC_COOKIE), and more settings are going to come probably. So is there any limit? In case there is, we need to encapsulate more info the MYPHPNET, as I originally intended. But back then Derick suggested that we should have one cookie for one setting. But that won't work if there is a limit on cookies, and we would like to have more settings.
Why should it be one-cookie per setting? That doesn't make any sense to me. Ideally there should only be a single signed cookie and a set of access functions that everything would use to get the right info out of it. Derick is smoking something.
I must have been drinking too as I can't remember that I suggested it :) But AFAIK there *is* a limit of 20 cookies per site.
OK, so the new things will go to the MYPHPNET cookie as planned and then we will see if it is OK to integrate the other cookies too. Goba
