Hi Rasmus,
We are using the ip-to-country stuff atm which does not work as well as
GeoIP and ip-to-nation.
root@mimbari:~/directi# php -q findsavage.php 12.235.53.226
directi can't locate person
root@mimbari:~/ip2nation# php -q findsavage.php 12.235.53.226
Person is located in United States
root@mimbari:~/geoip# php -q findsavage.php 12.235.53.226
Person is located in United States
I would propose using geoip rather than ip-to-country. the ip2nation
currently requires MySQL being installed, hence the geoip from maxminds
prob would work better? Jim would it be possible for you to find out if
Maxmind would provide php.net with a db as you are using maxmind's geoip
on your works site from the text on the mirrors page:
Geolocation information by:
<Picutre of GeoIP by Maxmind>
Regards
