I suspected the ip-to-country code was the guilty party. I notice that you have comitted a fix; are you confident that this will work if I turn on rsync on www.php.net again? If so, just let me know and I'll make it happen :)
The ip lookup will not work correctly, as the DB is bogus. But we cannot help anything but wait for a new DB (which is what Divyank is working on right now). But the server will not be bogged down with the current code, I am confident ;) The search will stop at anytime, when it would be too expensive to search in the DB, and return 'NA' [unable to detect] as the country code. I believe that my fix greatly reduded the number of checked records if the IP is not found. That does not mean you should not monitor it, after you turn on rsync again. ;) Goba
