Goba, Indeed this is much better than the old table format, but my NS7.02 :) fails to make the copyright string clickable, so it appears as a link, but cursor keeps to its arrow state and doesnt change even when the mouse is over the link. -Vahan Gabor Hojtsy wrote:
Hi! Part of my efforts to make the php.net pages XHTML compatible, I have started to plan some changes to move the current table based layout to some more standards friendly new one. One of my first changes was today's manual page TOC change, which saves us a great amount of bandwidth, as a huge number of chars got removed from the output. I tried to experiment with the footer of the pages, as if that has some problems in browsers, that may not be a huge problem to fix ASAP. But still we can start with some changes. The header is very much like this, so if this proves working in browsers, then the header can also be modified. I have made a version for everyone to test. This presents the current footer and the CSS based one I propose. They should look identically. But if you look into the HTML code, you can see that the one I propose, looks much better, and again saves us many bandwidth on all pages. As I can only test this on Linux [Mozilla and Konqueror mainly], I would like to ask more guys to test this out, before I commit a change. This is slightly more complex then the TOC menu change I made. But I don't know of any browser problems connected to the properites I used. Please test: http://goba.hu/phpnetfooter.html Goba
