I have made a version for everyone to test. This presents the current footer and the CSS based one I propose. They should look identically. But if you look into the HTML code, you can see that the one I propose, looks much better, and again saves us many bandwidth on all pages.
They are exactly the same, and yes, the 2nd one look smuch cleaner... but I fail to see how this saves bandwidth as the CSS+new footer use a lot more data (especially due to the layour with four spaces everytime).
The CSS file don't need to be downloaded every time, it is cached by the client browser [the CSS part will go to the php.net site's CSS]. The HTML output will be significantly smaller this way. Goba
