i've noticed a new "feature" on php.net
the search text box at the top right automatically displays the last string i searched for.
this is very annoying, since the last string i searched for is ABSOLUTELY THE LEAST LIKELY STRING I WANT TO SEARCH FOR.
which means you've added one more step in my search flow: "delete current string from text box before typing"
if there's someone else that i can direct this email to, please let me know, since i use the search function many times every day.
This feature was added after many user requests. Because many guys search for some similar thing they searched for the last time. For example when they mistype some phrase, this feature can help much. We can add an option to the my php.net section of course to disable this feature, and we will consider this option.
