Dear PHP.net mirror maintainers!
All of you (addressed in BCC) are registered to have local stats support on your mirrors, though you have not updated your mirror setup in a few months and have not followed the setup guideline changes we made in the past months.
We have our mirroring guidelines published at http://php.net/mirroring.php, in which we have added an extra environment var setting (SetEnv MIRROR_STATS 1) in the mirror vhost setup, so our automatic mirror monitoring system can deal with those setting up and removing stats support, without human (PHP.net webmaster) intervention. As our records show, you have not yet have the time to follow this change.
I would like to ask you to implement the changes needed to conform to the new guidelines, to make everyones life easier in the future. Note that we also added an sqlite extension requirement for mirrors, which is now used to do the short URL lookups on mirrors having that installed (using less resources then the old file based solution). It will also be used in the future to drive all the manuals, so it will be a cornerstone of the php.net mirror sites. We have also changed some small things in the search setup (env vars again).
We would be very happy, if you would implement these changes to provide the best service for your visitors, and ease the maintanane work associated with the PHP website's code and mirror site registry.
Thanks for suppoting PHP,
Gabor Hojtsy [on behalf of the PHP.net webmaster team]
