Here is a new one with the corrected list and background styling:
http://www.browsercam.com/public.aspx?proj_id=18600
There are a few possible problems with it:
IE 3px gap problem (I already know a JS workaround for this)
Opera 6 menu positioning problem (I doubt any user has problems
with this, as we use this menu positioning on all of our one column
pages for two or three weeks now).
There is a slight positioning problem in AOL 7.0. I was surprised not
to encounter this problem in any of the IE shots, so I have no idea
how and why the AOL browser misbehaves this way. What IE is AOL 7.0
built on?
I was surprised that this layout is still very much useable and looks close to what is intended in IE4 :) Netscape 4 gets the bare bones version as intended.
My plan is to add the workaround for the 3px bug and move on the new layout to more less visited two column pages (books.php as a start).
