php.pl and php.net

Dear Sirs, I am writing to you because I would like to establish a co-operation between the PHP.NET and the PHP.PL portal. I am the administrator of the PHP.PL and at the same time I represent Newcomo Ltd. which is the main sponsor of the PHP.PL. For the past two years the PHP.PL website has significantly developed concentrating about 5000 active users, and at the same time it has become the greatest source of the PHP knowledge around Poland. The PHP.PL concentrates a lot of initiative, the examples of which are: the discussion forum (forum.php.pl - above 66.000 posts); the site similar to the phpBuilder; our own IRC server; the developers center with the dedicated CVS server (sourceforge.net like); the translation center - we have translated from English into Polish many articles and manuals including Smarty, Phiend Framework, phpGACL; the dedicated server for testing the beta version of PHP5 and other software; the legal information section - the analysis of variuos kinds of licences and agreements. In the nearest time we are planning to establish the PHP (and other open source technologies) training center. It will be based on the eLearning system. The courses are going to be finishes with an exam and the graduates will be handed certificates. We very activelly support the PHP programmers all around Poland (meetings, conferences, training courses). Due to concentrating a group of the best PHP Polish programmers around the PHP.PL all our activities show a high level of meritum knowledge. Morover, due to our sponsor – Newcomo Ltd. a company representing the IT brand, we did not need to make our servise commercial, that means that we do not charge any fees from our users, we do not make any advertising, we do not have banners. We are greatly interested in establishing a partnership between the PHP.PL and the PHP.NET. We would like to be granted the permission to use the status of "official PHP.NET partner" which will allow us to work effectivelly in Poland. In the future we would like to use your logo on our certificates. We believe that it would be good if the PHP.PL was included in the "links" section on the PHP.NET website. Currently there is only "php.spinacz.pl" (definitely not "The biggest Polish site about PHP") in there, wich is trully not developed - the last update was on September 2003. On the other hand, we are going to concentrate more on supporting the PHP.NET, on testing and the developing the PHP, PEAR, Smarty and other projects. We believe that we will be able to finish the translation of the PHP manual into Polish in the nearest time.
