Hi Johan,
I thinking about doing a kind of "check-if-any-function-in-my-script-have-a-bug"-application. But to do that I need to access teh bug database - to do a search in it :( It is pretty hard to do that - cause if you change design eg. my regular expressions may be corrupted :( Also - they would be a lot of http request to your server? (Is that okay anyway?). So then I did think - isn't you able to provide some kind of CVS/XML Stream or something like that with the bugs? So I can update my application? :)
I don't think we are about to provide an XML stream of the bugs database, since it would be very big, considering all closed bugs, with a lot of silly reports...
Agree on that part - I though something like http://bugs.php.net/xmlstream/getBugs.php?offset=4000&limit=100 That would print out all bugs from 4000 to 4099. Just my idea - when I develop on older version of php for some of my customer I sometimes have a problem with bugs. (Like imagecopyremerged today - that "forgets" the offset x and y at the source image). I would be nice to do a application - where you can upload your files - and note what version of PHP you use. It will then search through the bug database - and give you the result with a "may-be-a-bug"-list. -- Johan Holst Nielsen Freelance PHP Developer Tel: +45 2712 3060 johan@phpgeek.dk www.phpgeek.dk
