Has there been any thought of creating a database accessible via web service
that could be queried for purposes of (for example) a
php-function-of-the-day util or something like that?
Obviously, I could create a list of all available php functions myself, then
use that to query a search engine web service, but I don't want to do that
if the work has already been done for me somewhere...
Thanks,
Jason

Hi Jason, PHP.net itself uses the Yahoo Search web service to provide search results. Since our manual pages are indexed in search engines nicely, you can use any major search web service to do manual searches. I'm interested in developing one or more utilities for personal use (at least) that would involve searching through the php function reference. Is there a web service I can use, or is there a page that has the entire function reference on one page so I could parse through it to do my search? Any help you can offer will be very appreciated.
