Hello,
I was in the middle of downloading the PHP manual notes with the user
contributed notes when you appear to have denied access to the site. I am
sorry if for some reason I caused excessive load on the web server, I only
have a single 64k ISDN line and did not think that there would be a
problem. I am going away soon to university and I won't be able to have an
internet connection and the user-contributed notes version of the manual
is very helpful to have around while I do some PHP development, so I used
offline explorer to try and download a local copy before I leave.
If you wish I can add a delay time to the downloader and set the program
to download over a few nights, but I don't really have much time and I
would really like a copy before I leave for reference.
Again, I am sorry if this procedure has caused excess load or bandwidth
usage. The worldonline cache is a transparent proxy shared between all
worldonline subscribers and I would hate to be the one responsible for
denying any other developers using this ISP access to the php website. If
you could unblock the cache and then let me know whether it would be OK to
download the user notes over a few nights or whether I should just use the
plain html manual and give up trying to get a copy alltogether, and I will
be glad to cooperate.
Thanks,
