Hi webmaster,
The purpose of writing this email to you is not to reporting any bug or suggestion on the web site,
in fact, I hope this letter can be view by the php engine developer because I have some questions.
I am a php/asp/java developer. Sincerely, I like php very much because the ease of coding and the
speed (Good Job!). But what I confused is
1. Is Java really better than php for a mid website?
2. Can php handle the website like Amazon, Yahoo (using Oracle/SQL Server)?
3. Can php beat WebSphere, SilverStream, WebLogic? (Not in term of development time, in term of
speed and stability, I currently develop on SilverStream, and I found it sucks!)
I read a lot of review on php by others, most of them said php is good for normal dynamic content
website. Hence I hope I can get the answer from you guys. :)
Currently I already some shopping-cart website, small CRM website for some company. But when come to
huge website (Internet/Intranet), all consultants prefer Java.
That's all for now, hope I can hear from you guy. Thanks.
regards,
vic
