One of the first things I learned when I started developing web pages is that I cannot force any user to upgrade to a new/different browser. This tab list is visible on the developer and user pages. This means all IE5 users, or all "broken IE5" users see this thing, not just me. I don't think that there is anything special in my setup, causing this behaviour, so there should be more people out there with the same problem. If this won't work with the DIV+SPAN+CSS way, we should find a workaround, eg. using old tables, or something to make this look like as expected.... Using CSS heavily allways comes with these compatibility problems. You just can't say "upgrade from IE5" for every bug submitter with buggy IE5s. They will be confused with this menu. I can work with this broken display although I don't like it... Goba
