since PHP4 and the older mysql install was quite easy. But now the whole thing lacks of support for experienced but no admin-guru like persons. At least on XP and IIS5 there are some new hurdens to install 1.) why the hell filenames like php.exe are dedicated to a different usage? Why ever this was changed? So we have a system of inconsistent file naming. 2.) the php.ini has a wrong entry for the extensions path.... 3.) Following all the readmes causes phpmyadmin to search not in the system path for the php_mysql.dll - it is searched in c:\php5 but in no ini file is a hint to it. ---- Server IP: 217.13.201.10 Probable Submitter: 129.69.65.231 ---- Manual Page -- http://www.php.net/manual/en/ref.mysql.php Edit -- http://master.php.net/manage/user-notes.php?action=edit+62201 Delete: added to the manual -- http://master.php.net/manage/user-notes.php?action=delete+62201&report=yes&reason=added+to+the+manual Delete: bad code -- http://master.php.net/manage/user-notes.php?action=delete+62201&report=yes&reason=bad+code Delete: spam -- http://master.php.net/manage/user-notes.php?action=delete+62201&report=yes&reason=spam Delete: useless -- http://master.php.net/manage/user-notes.php?action=delete+62201&report=yes&reason=useless Delete: non-english -- http://master.php.net/manage/user-notes.php?action=delete+62201&report=yes&reason=non-english Delete: already in docs -- http://master.php.net/manage/user-notes.php?action=delete+62201&report=yes&reason=already+in+docs Delete: other reasons -- http://master.php.net/manage/user-notes.php?action=delete+62201&report=yes Reject -- http://master.php.net/manage/user-notes.php?action=reject+62201&report=yes Search -- http://master.php.net/manage/user-notes.php
