I have come across a common misconception that 'r' is what is to be used in RSS (2.0) feeds. This is incorrect as RSS feeds require RFC822, while 'r' displays in RFC2822. I have even seen a bug report on this site at http://bugs.php.net/bug.php?id=13885 saying it displays the timezone offset (e.g. -0500) instead of the timezone (e.g. EST). If you wish to display the RFC822 date, use 'D, d M Y H:i:s T'. I hope this helps you out! ---- Server IP: 64.71.164.2 Probable Submitter: 24.186.183.155 ---- X-Spam-Status: No, hits=3.1 required=5.0 tests=DATE_MISSING,FROM_NO_LOWER autolearn=no version=2.64 ---- Manual Page -- http://www.php.net/manual/en/function.date.php Edit -- http://master.php.net/note/edit/63181 Del: integrated -- http://master.php.net/note/delete/63181/integrated Del: useless -- http://master.php.net/note/delete/63181/useless Del: bad code -- http://master.php.net/note/delete/63181/bad+code Del: spam -- http://master.php.net/note/delete/63181/spam Del: non-english -- http://master.php.net/note/delete/63181/non-english Del: in docs -- http://master.php.net/note/delete/63181/in+docs Del: other reasons-- http://master.php.net/note/delete/63181 Reject -- http://master.php.net/note/reject/63181 Search -- http://master.php.net/manage/user-notes.php
