The manual states: âYou cannot have a class named stdClass in PHPâ, which is true.
In your example you do not have a class named stdClass, you simply have a variable named foo which
is an instantiation of the class: stdClass.
The manual does not state you cannot use the class stdClass such as you did (at least not that I can
see), but rather you cannot use it as a class name such as <? class stdClass { â¦} ?>
Although of course, we would not use it any way regardless.
