I have examined many counter programs and referred to many php books, and I think it is important to mention that: 1. when you create cookies by a server,e.g abc server, then only abc server can access the cookies later. Even if you use <iframe> to insert your php file in normal htm which exists on the other server such as ufo server, the php file cannot accept the cookie created by abc server. 2. althrough you can set the domain in setcookie function, but you are not allowed to use abc server to create ufo server cookies. I see many counter programmes, and many of them use setcookie in such a wrong ways! Raymond remark: Dear devloper, I hope my note is useful for you and also if the points I mentioned above are wrong, please let me know. So that I can get the right knowledge! thx! ---- Server IP: 202.181.244.117 Probable Submitter: 203.186.188.48 ---- X-Spam-Status: No, hits=3.1 required=5.0 tests=DATE_MISSING,FROM_NO_LOWER autolearn=no version=2.64 ---- Manual Page -- http://www.php.net/manual/en/function.setcookie.php Edit -- http://master.php.net/note/edit/65348 Del: integrated -- http://master.php.net/note/delete/65348/integrated Del: useless -- http://master.php.net/note/delete/65348/useless Del: bad code -- http://master.php.net/note/delete/65348/bad+code Del: spam -- http://master.php.net/note/delete/65348/spam Del: non-english -- http://master.php.net/note/delete/65348/non-english Del: in docs -- http://master.php.net/note/delete/65348/in+docs Del: other reasons-- http://master.php.net/note/delete/65348 Reject -- http://master.php.net/note/reject/65348 Search -- http://master.php.net/manage/user-notes.php
